We woke up and enjoyed our delicious breakfast. We then headed back to Vieux Fort to spend the day at the beach and do some kiteboarding. On our way out of town we stopped by a little shack in the middle of town that a local told us about. It isn't marked, it is just a small shack but it has the best and cheapest roti. This is where all the locals go. We got some chicken roti to go and stopped off for a picnic. This was our million dollar moment! Meaning, if we were millionaires, this is exactly where we would be and what we would be doing. Nothing beats relaxing with the family surrounded by beautiful scenery and some delicious food.
Athen and I enjoyed playing in the sand in the shade, watching dad kiteboard, and playing with some of the local girls. Rick enjoyed a little bit of kiteboarding, the warm water and the nice sun. However, I think he spent more time fixing his kite, or trying to fix his kite than actually kiteboarding. It seems as if, he always has problems with his kites in foreign countries. In fact, I wonder if it is really worth all the trouble to pack and bring the kites with the little amount of time he actually gets in the water.
Day 5
That evening we head back to Crystals. This time to stay in the Mango room. This was a much bigger space then the night before. It had two master bedrooms, a large sitting room, living room and kitchen. In fact, it was much bigger than our apartment now. It also had a private swimming pool in the back with a balcony off the top story in a tree.

Rick made another delicious meal. He shredded up a fresh coconut and toasted it with some butter and sugar, tossed it with some shrimp and put it over rice. Who doesn't like to combo of coconut, shrimp and rice? We put the little one down and played around a bit.
Day 6
We woke up and had another delicious breakfast of warm scones, tea biscuits, coconut maple pancakes, fresh fruit and eggs. We headed up North for the rest of our trip. On our way to Rodney Bay we stopped in Castries which is the capital. This is where all the cruise ship stop and the tourist are. We wanted to go to the markets there. We shopped around for a bit. Athen and I decided to eat at Burger King. It was something that we could trust and our stomachs were familiar with. Rick got some local food. We then headed to Rodney Bay. We stayed at the Bay Garden Hotel. It was great to actually be in a hotel, they had a crib for Athen and the room was pretty baby proof.
That night we headed to the pool side bar for a free alcohol free rum punch smoothie. Athen loved it. We then walked around downtown to all the little shops and ate dinner at a delicious Indian restaurant called Spices of India. Rodney Bay is much more clean and beautiful than the southern part of the island. However, there are more tourist and resorts there.
