USS Hornet

This weekend we decided to take the boys to see the USS Hornet since it is so close to us. We thought they would enjoy the ship and the airplanes. They did. Obviously, they did not make navy ships kid friendly so it was a little tricky with Crew. We couldn't bring the stroller inside since we were going up and down latters. Rick had to carry Crew on his shoulders or try and wrestle with him in his arms. Luckily, Athen was so enthralled with the ship that he did pretty good. We got to see most of the ship including where the sailors slept and ate, the flight deck with planes and helicopters, the captain's island as well as the inside hanger. It was pretty cool and the kids really liked it.

A few weeks ago we headed down to Santa Cruz to celebrate Isa's first birthday with Justin & Silvia. It was fun to see everyone and to celebrate with Isa, and of course we had to stop by Samba Cafe for an Acai bowl.
