Athen grabbing pumpkins from all around and carrying them back to the wagon. He got his work out for the day.
Crew looking up at the airplane in the sky.
We went through the hay maze which was perfect for Crew. There was only one way for him to go so we didn't have to chase him all over the place. We played in the corn pit and picked out pumpkins. Athen picked out about 10 pumpkins and loaded them all into the wagon. However, we left with just 2 and some gourds. It was a hot fall day - in the 90's and we were sweating in the sun as we were searching for our pumpkins.
I tried a bread recipe from pinterest and it turned out beautiful. I made the bread with Gruyere cheese, fresh rosemary and lemon zest. It was good. However, I think I am going to try it with Fontina or maybe Parm next time.
A month or so ago I made a quilt with a bunch of scrap fabric. My mom was making one of those wonkie quilts so I decided I should make one as well since I have a bunch of cute scraps. I didn't want to wait for all the supplies to come in the mail for the wonkie one (the plastic piece and the paper) so I decided to make up my own random squares and sew them all together. This is how it turned out. I really like it. I think it would be cute for my little girl, if I ever have one.
This is the back. I didn't want to panel the green fabric so I added a white and black border all around the quilt so I could have the green be one piece. I think it turned out cute.
Crew and I have been taking swimming lessons. He loves the water and did so good at swim class. The first day of class the teach asked if he had swim lessons before. He was going under the water with no problems and passed off 4 of the 5 levels on the first day.
He got a little bored of floating on his back and wanted to get up.

Ok that quilt! I have to use my scraps to make one. I hate quilting but you make me so motivated. And that MEAL in Santa Monica!!! AHhh.. I'd love to go one day for free :o)
Love the quilt. I pinned that bread forever ago, now I'm motivated to actually make it...it looks so yummy!
