Our Sunday tradition
Our Sunday afternoon tradition when we don't have other church obligations is to take a walk around the lake. We usually let Athen bring his Ybike or his new red bike that he got for Christmas. It is usually the only time that he actually gets to ride his bike.
I recently remembered that I have some roller skates with purple wheels that I bought last year at the white elephant sale. I haven't been able to use them because I was pregnant with Crew and didn't want to fall on my butt with a bun in the oven. I pulled them out on Sunday afternoon and we all headed to the park and lake. It was fun. Here are some pictures.

Rick has been out of town for the last four days. He took a guy trip with his best friends growing up. They went to San Diego for a surfing trip. Even though he took the waterproof camera with him he didn't take any pictures so no photo documentation there. On Saturday the boys and I needed to get out of our little box and do something so my friend Anupa and I took all the kids down to Fairyland. This was our first time there. We went on the rides, ate a picnic lunch and played on all they had to play on. Here are some pictures of our day.

This guy is such a cutie pie and he is such a mommas boy too! I finally got out the rubber ducky bath tub that my friend Elise gave me a few years ago for Athen. Crew loved it. I had to give Athen a bath in it too once he saw Crew in it.

2011 Recap
I keep a blog for a few reasons, 1 - family and friends can keep updated with our lives and see pictures of our cute kids, 2 - blog stalkers can keep up to date on our lives and 3 - (which is the main reason why) it is the journal of our lives. I use to be a good journal writer and have a hope chest filled with many journals that are complete from beginning to end. These days I update the blog and print it out every two years and that is our family journal. It is better that way. You can read the writing, there are date stamps on each page and you get pictures to go along with the story.
It is time for me to print the last two years of our lives but before I do I should probablly put our 2011 Bingham Family Review in there. So for those of you who have read this already just skip over and for those of you who had their Christmas cards lost in the mail and haven't read this yet feel free to keep reading.
The Bingham Family Review (IV)
2011 has been a wonderful year for our family. We went from family of 3 to family of 4 and love every second we have with these cuties.
Athen just turned 2 a few weeks ago. He loves to talk, play with trucks, watch the fire trucks drive by the window, throw temper tantrums, climb on anything and everything, ride his Ybike, and run fast. This year Athen took 6 months of swim lessons and loves to be in the water. He can hold his breath under water for 7 seconds. I wish I could say he is potty trained but we are still in the process. We have taken a few steps back in the last few days and hope to get back on track soon.
Crew is now 6 months old and is cute as can be. Although he still isn’t sleeping through the night, his precious smile and big brown eyes make up for it. He is sitting up and rolling all around the room. He loves playing with his toys and smiling at anyone who comes close by. He is super ticklish and loves to jump up and down.
Besides for having two kids, our lives continue to keep busy. Rick is still the Elders Quorum President and I just accepted my third calling as librarian. In addition to the librarian, I plan the monthly activities for the RS and coordinate seminary rides for the youth.
Rick is still at Del Monte. He is now managing the Del Monte vegetable business, which is their largest food brand. I continue to stay at home with the little ones and enjoy most of the time I get to spend with them. I have put my sewing machine, Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5 and Silhouette machine to great use this year with the kids.
Although we didn’t go camping this year, we did have some fun adventures. We put Athens’s new passport to use and took him on his first international trip. We spent 8 days on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. The 18-hour trip there was a little challenging but once we were there we all loved it. Since Crew has joined us we have spent some time in North Carolina visiting friends, and 10 days in Utah with family and friends. We are hoping to add another passport to the family this coming year.
As we look back on our year, we are thankful for all the many blessings 2011 has brought and most importantly we are thankful for our family and the knowledge of the Gospel in our lives. We hope your 2011 has been wonderful and wish you the best during the holiday season.

Morro Bay part 2
On Sunday morning we woke up and headed to sacrament in the Morro Bay ward. We then spent the afternoon walking around the harbor and downtown area which is so cute. That afternoon we came home and grill some Mahi Mahi and Tilapia for some fish tacos. Yummy. On Monday we went to Hearst Castle and took a tour of the Grand Rooms. I love that place it is so beautiful. I would have loved to live during that time, what a glamourous life they lived. We then headed over to Cambria for some dinner and then headed home.

Morro Bay - Day 1 - New Year's Eve
At the last minute we decided to rent a beach house for New Years. We rented one in Morro Bay which is down south about four hours towards Pismo/San Luis Obispo. We met up with Rick's sister Bekah and family as well as Rick's parents. We dragged my sister Lauren with us as well. It was so fun and perfect weather. We left Friday morning and arrived in the afternoon. On Saturday we went to pismo beach drove the trucks around in the sand dunes. We played around in the sand, jumped off the dunes and rode down the sand hills on the skim board. It was a fun and warm day. We then headed into town and of course ate at Moe's BBQ which is our tradition. We bought salt water taffy, walked through the Monarch Butterfly grove and headed back for our New Year's Eve party.
Here are our pictures:
Playing in the sand dunes.

Jumping off the sand dunes. I love my new red jeans. They make for great pictures.

Cute pictures.

Moe's deliciousness.

Happy New Year!

For our NYE party I made noisemakers, lighted ribbon garland and individual bags of confetti for everyone.

I dipped the mugs into red chocolate and added peppermint for the hot chocolate.

Delicious food.

Bekah brought some cake pops and cookies!
