The sand was pretty hot which was nice because the kids had to play in the shade under the trees. They couldn't run away without burning their feet.
They loved playing in the ocean. It was very warm, and they didn't want to get out.
After playing on the beach for the morning we headed back to the hotel to eat. Sure enough the kids were worn out and fell asleep in the car. We had a successful transfer straight to the patio chairs under the shade by the swimming pool. Rick and I enjoyed an unexpected and very pleasant few hours by the swimming pool. We ordered lunch by the poolside and ate in quiet and swam around in the nice warm pool. Love this spread eagle relaxed hands sleeping pose by Crew. What a cutie!
One of the quiet moments in our trip, swimming by ourselves.
We then headed to a resort to play on their beach. It was a beautiful beach and not very many people there. We played in the sand and collected rocks, shells and coral until the sun went down.
I love this picture of my man. He is so sexy!
We then headed to a restaurant called El Avion. I had been wanting to take everyone there. I went 8 years ago with my girlfriends and like it. The restaurant is in an old bomber jet so the kids got a kick out of being in the airplane.
I love this picture of Athen. Most places don't have kids meals so we asked Athen what he wanted for dinner. He said chicken and rice. So we ordered him a typical Costa Rican chicken and rice dish. When he got it he threw a fit saying "this isn't chicken tikka masala". After about 5 minutes we finally got him to try it and he liked it. Here is shoveling it in.
Here are the boys sitting in the cockpit of the bomber jet. They loved it.
After dinner was over it was about 9 or 9:30 at night. By the time we drove down the street to our hotel the kids were out so we transfered them right to bed. It was a fun long day.
